Features of Data Centres
Power Supply resilience: dual supplies to building with auto switch over in the event of power failure.
Equipment: All equipment is fed from a "clean" supply ie no spikes in supply. All supplies are fully backed-up by a site-wide UPS system and standby generator.
Security: Both data centres are staffed 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. There are multiple levels of physical security before entry into the server rooms comma removed with site-wide use of coded access cards for controlled access.
Tape Backups: All backups are performed nightly and stored off-site for disaster recovery.
Fire protection: Fire detection and suppression systems are employed at both sites.
