Scotland Online reduces the risk of data loss or damage by providing all dedicated servers with secure network backup storage space. Our standard backup service offers 10GB for free; additional space can be purchased in 10GB increments.

Backups utilise Vembu Storegrid technology providing a highly flexible and powerful backup engine through an easy to use and intuitive graphical interface.

In addition all Scotland Online dedicated servers have been imaged prior to being released to the customer, providing a quick and easy mechanism for rolling the server back to the base install if required.

There are occassions where our standard backup service is not sufficient to meet the customer's needs. If this is the case, our dedicated team of engineers will work closely with you to provide the required backup solution such as a dedicated tape backup.
