Basic Monitoring
FREE to all dedicated server customers, this service allows for the monitoring of up to 5 standard TCP ports that check the status of your server. You can choose from the following ports:

• Ping (ICMP)
• HTTP
• FTP
• SMTP
• RDP (Terminal Services)
• VNC
• SSH (Linux)

Scotland Online will configure the services specified on our monitoring system; tests will be performed to the allocated public IP address of your server, this ensures the server's availability to the internet.

Alerting
Our systems monitor the services (determined at initial set-up) 24x7 and a polled at 5 minute intervals. All the alerts are sent to the customer who will respond to any alerts that are generated.
Should the customer need assistance from Scotland Online engineers a ticket can be raised to helpdesk@scotlandonline.co.uk.
A Valid email address is required for the configuration of this service.
